Voting Day Checklist

The future of Saskatoon is in your hands. In 2020, only 27.4% of eligible voters cast their ballots in the civic election. Voter absenteeism has led us to ballooning budgets, compounding debts, increased taxes, more red tape, even more crime and countless vanity projects for Charlie, Cynthia and the crew.

Here’s What You Need To Know Before You Head To The Polls:

Update Your Voter Information!

Before you head to the polls, ensure that your voter information is up-to-date. This will help you have a smooth voting experience on Election Day. With the online registration portal, you can check, update or add your information to the Voters List. Update Your Voter Information Here

Bring What You Need to Vote!

You are required to show identification that bears your name and address. There are more than 50 acceptable ID documents that you can bring (List of Acceptable Identification). Here are some examples:

  • One piece of identification issued by the Government of Canada, the Government of Saskatchewan, a municipality, or a government agency that contains a photograph, your name, and address.

  • Any two pieces of identification, where one establishes your name and the other establishes your address.

  • Vouching: If you don’t have the required ID, an eligible voter who is a family member with acceptable ID can vouch for your identity. They must fill out the appropriate forms with the election official at the polling station.

  • Most important- remember to bring a friend to vote!
