Prioritize Affordability in For Residents

Annual tax and fee hikes? They've become an unwelcome tradition in Saskatoon. This year, to add to the long list of things costing you more money, your property tax bill will jump by over 6 per cent in Saskatoon. And it's not just taxes, from utility fees to parking rates, the cost of everything is going up in YXE.

The cost of Saskatoon's government has risen by nearly $100 million over the past 5 years. 2024 will be the first year the city's operating budget breaks $600 million.

But where is all this extra money going? Instead of improving crucial services to help make your life better, our current City Council has funnelled money into questionable ventures and pet projects. Every dollar that is expended on the cost of debt decreases the capacity for City Hall to invest in initiatives that matter.

    Garbage, Recycling, and Compost cart fees have reached a staggering $308.04/yearly fee.
